X-Ray Ball X-Ray Ball is a Breakout variant. Your mission, like usual in such games, is to destroy all bricks in the level with the ball you initially start, and later reflect, from your paddle. Once all bricks are gone, you proceed to the next level.

The game offers three different game modes (Kid Mode, Arcade, and Ultra), a level editor, and 31 different Power-Ups (7 bad, 11 useful, and 13 very useful ones).

Kid Mode and Arcade are both 2D, and as far as I know, they differ only in the way each levels are looking. These are both classic Breakout.

Ultra is the 3D variant, providing three dimensional levels, with multiple brick layers. The ball will only use the lowest layer. Once a brick, with a brick on top of it, is destroyed, the upper (higher layer) bricks move down (to a lower layer).

On your journey through these levels, you will encounter usual Power-Ups like: small/normal/big balls, shrink/expand paddle, Extra Life, slower/faster ball, ball catcher (on the paddle), and Multiball/8-Ball. In addition, there are 6 weapon Power-Ups (Rocket launcher, different Laser types, Prism gun, and the Ball Gun (fires new balls)) and some special Power-Ups: Explosive (you ball explodes), Fire Ball (ignites adjacent bricks), Super Ball (goes through bricks), Ultra Ball (Fire Ball + Super Ball), Level Warp (immediately completes the current level), and X Reverse/Z Reverse (first will flip your paddle movement, second will flip the entire screen).
