Aliens Text Adventure Returning to the minimalist roots of the text adventure genre, this game puts the player in charge of a protagonist who awakens, bewildered, in the sick bay of a complex on an alien planet. Navigation of the environment and its hazards is achieved by forming VERB NOUN phrases combining one of four actions on the bottom of the screen (LOOK, USE, TAKE, MOVE) with nouns selectable from room-specific lists. Players will quickly determine that the complex is infested with some species of lethal extraterrestrial life, and survival gets added to the typical adventure game priorities of exploration and puzzle-solving.
