The Amazing Race video game is based on the hit TV show of the same name. Its release in North America coincided with the TV show's 16th season on air. On Wii, the game has no single player mode; it can only be played by 2-4 players in co-op or versus mode.

Players race to be the first team to get to the pit stops. With the money they get for completing challenges (in the form of mini-games), they will travel around the world by ground and by air, sometimes facing roadblocks, detours and other obstacles also found in the TV show. In the game, a 3D representation of host Phil Keoghan guides the players through "the amazing race" as they travel to many different locations around the globe.

The game consists mostly of a collection of mini-games in which players must choose the fastest road to their destination, find the correct pictures from a clue or choose the heaviest objects in a balance game, to name a few. [source:mobygames]
