Cinderella is the famous folk-tale of a girl whose mother dies and father remarries a cruel woman who becomes her stepmother and already has two other daughters. The girl is forced to do all the housework and sits in the cinders by the fireplace (hence her name). One day, the prince has a ball in order to choose a wife and Cinderella has to make dresses for her stepsisters but she isn't allowed to go to the ball. She prays to her dead mother and is helped to get fine clothes and a coach to ride but complications arise.

The player controls Grimm once again going through levels to darken whatever he touches and as a meter of darkness fills up, parts of the story become more violent and menacing. Cinderella's mother has the bubonic plague, Cinderella catches on fire, and instead of cowering she gets angry. Grimm can "buttstomp" near the critical scenes that move the story along and also to stop civilians from cleaning up the darkness you spread. At then end of the completed levels, the dark version of the tale created is shown. [source:mobygames]
