AXA In a post-apocalyptic world, mutant warriors attack a colony of survivors and abduct two young women. AXA, the sword-swinging heroine of the game who has witnessed the violent raid, follows the mutants' tracks in order to rescue the kidnapped girls.

She has to find her way through the wilderness where former villages lay waste, cross dark underground caves as well as an old sewer system where creepy creatures linger until she reaches the (not so) deserted mega city where she has to confront the warriors. Her encounter with the final boss takes place on the top of the mutants' headquarter's building.

On her way AXA not only battles attacking creatures like enormous rats, stray dogs, giant spiders, mutated wasps and aggressive alligators, but has to master challenges in solving puzzles to be able to continue her path. Along the way, she discovers useful items which she can collect, use directly or combine in her inventory to get an even more useful object.

AXA is an action-adventure featuring three big levels, six different graphical settings, 50 rooms to explore and more than 20 items to interact with. While the player uses the direction pad to have AXA walk, jump, climb and fight her way freely through the scenes in 2D arcade style, an icon-based menu can be popped up to perform the puzzle-related tasks such as examine, use or combine things.

The mobile game features original illustrations from Spanish artist Romero on whose comic strips and books the game is based. They introduce the player to the different chapters of the story and also reward him at the end of the game. [source:mobygames]
