Brawl Busters is a class-based, free-to-play online action combat game. It features various cooperative and competitive modes for players to fight each other in arenas. The focus is entirely on multiplayer games against human opponents, but it also includes a singleplayer component where various tactics and moves can be trained against AI-controlled zombies in training sessions.

Players choose one of the five available classes: Boxer, Firefighter, Rocker, Slugger, or Blitzer. Each characters has different statistics and abilities, but they each have a primary attack, a secondary attack, an air attack and a charged attack. The characters and the environment have a cartoon-like design and the fighters are controlled from a third-person perspective. During the fights interactive objects in the environment can be used. There are special items such as bombs, jelly that makes opponents become stuck or a cardboard box that is put over their head, poison, and a telephone cell to teleport to a different location. Attacks can be chained to stun opponents and do additional damage. Central kiosks can be hit for additional bonuses. When characters lose too much health, they need to distance themselves from the fighting for a short time to have their health regenerate. It is also possible to climb onto objects and use fountains to jump on top of buildings.

The game is free-to-play, but also uses an in-game currency based on real money to open up additional game modes and for further customization through weapons, outfits and accessories. There are ranked matches for a league, but also loose multiplayer games, either team-based or free-for-all, where players are balanced according to their skill level.
