Bumbler Bee-Luxe is an insect themed shooter. As a bumblebee, defend your hive from invaders: beetles, stinkbugs, spiders, moths, centipedes, other bees--over a dozen in all. The novelty is in the control scheme: your bee continually flies forward, and you can rotate left and right and fire stingers *backward*. When attackers are splatted, the honeycomb beneath them fills with honey. Sometimes the honey is red, which causes special things to occur when you fly over it: invulnerability, the release of bonus daisies, a new hole for insects to emerge from is created, and so on.

Bumbler Bee-Luxe is an enhanced version of Bumbler (which was released the previous year). It adds new enemy types (ant, ladybug, orb, robot bee, moth), centipede "bosses," title screen music, improved visuals and audio, and better difficulty balance. [source:mobygames]
