Caribbean Pirate Quest Aye, ya mangy dogs! Hoist that mainsail and batten down the hatches. Tis treasure we be wanting!

Caribbean Pirate Quest is a match three game. To make a match, swap two items so as to create a row of three or more of the same item. To clear a puzzle, make matches over each of the light blue tiles to clear them. When all tiles are cleared, the puzzle is cleared.

In the regular storyline, move your ship to a sunken ship or a red X to bring up a puzzle. When you have cleared the puzzle, you will have found one of two big treasures, a clue pointing towards one of the two big treasures, some more minor treasure or nothing of value. Such is the life of a treasure-seeking pirate. When you locate the cannon, one of the two big treasures of the first area, and make enough matches to load it, you can use it to clear any one spot in the puzzle. Later puzzles will have things like locked tiles that must be matched to unlock them and double locked tiles that must be matched twice.

In the Arcade Survival mode, you have five minutes to clear as many levels as you can. You begin by already having the cannon and the first puzzle will have locked tiles. You do not move a ship but just go from puzzle to puzzle. [source:mobygames]
