Game Classification

Cubes is a Tetris-like matching game with physics. Falling objects, consisting of little cubes, bounce back once they touch other objects. These objects do not fall into place and stay there, they can be controlled by the player until three cubes of the same color touch each other and explode. The game is set in a pirate scenario. In order to hide his treasures, O'l Smitty dumps them into the sea, where the player has to steal them from him. Occasionally other objects are thrown into the sea, such as gunpowder or spinning blades with additional effects. [source:mobygames]
