In 1267 the dark lord of Wortheone, King Frank Kalap, slaughtered entire villages because he believed in the prophecy of the boy who would rise to destroy him. During the destruction of one of these villages a small boy escaped into the woods after his entire family including his 10 year old brother were murdered at the hands of these assassins. After a few years of hiding and building his strength this boy would become a man and would then start his journey to exact revenge on King Frank Kalap...

The Dark Legions is a real-time strategy game played from a 3rd person isometric view. You will have to gather resources such as wood, stone, and gold to maintain your keep. With these resources you can then build buildings and recruit more soldiers. There are also research branches which you can invest in to create better soldiers, weapons or defensive strength.

The game has a mostly medieval setting but with the usual touches of fantasy. The single player campaign will not only have you explore and conquer enemies but will also include dungeon crawling missions where you might have to find levers to help solve various puzzles. There is also a randomly generated mission feature in which you can play against computer opponents. [source:mobygames]
