Fishing Joy is, as the name implies, a game of fishing. Each screen represents a location in an ocean; the player has to cast nets into the water in order to trap and catch fish.

Since fish come in different sizes and have different behaviors, various nets are available at the player's disposal. Acquiring better and bigger nets is essential for catching higher-prized fish. The player collects money that is awarded to him for catching fish; this money can be used to upgrade the player's inventory.
