The second Flikken game, based on the Belgian TV series of the same name, has completely different gameplay. While the first game was an adaptation of a 3D driving simulator environment to the universe of the series, the second game is an interactive murder mystery presented as an adventure. It is a reworking of the game Dollar written by Swedish detective fiction writer Liza Marklund, with minor changes.

Elisabeth Heel is the young heir of the business concern Beelen & Sonck. She is found dead in a room in Hotel Ganda in the city of Ghent, Belgium. Players take control of the police detectives to solve this single murder. They need to search the place for clues, examine evidence and interrogate possible suspects. The story takes the place to different locations in the city and a journalist and colleagues provide hints and tips while playing. The investigation runs five days. Evidence can be classified based on its origin (emotional, hearing, physical items) and players can assign a priority to it, influencing the processing rate and the importance.

From the police desk players can use a phone to call people, watch a reconstruction on tape, consult a city map and watch a board where the relationships between different suspects are shown. The computer contains files about the suspects and can also be used to receive e-mail. Clues discovered during interrogations can be used to rule out suspects or start new leads. When a suspect becomes upset during an interrogation because some questions are too direct or blunt, his heart rate will increase. In that case, the session needs to be stopped and is continued another day.

The story stays close to the original Swedish game. The only changes are the title, 3D models of the series' actors, the game's events have been relocated to Ghent, Belgium (including a map and photographs of landmarks) and everything has been translated to Dutch. [source:mobygames]
