Game Classification

This freeware remake of the Spanish platform game from 1983 recreates the levels and gameplay of the original, while updating the graphics and sounds with new enhanced assets. As before, the player controls the titular Fred, an archaeologist navigating through a labyrinth of Egyptian ruins to collect a series of artifacts. Fred carries a pistol, and has to climb ropes to reach higher places and escape the maze to the next level. The tomb is haunted by lots of dangerous animals and supernatural creatures, like flying vampire bats, scurrying porcupines, lumbering mummies and floating ghosts that take some of the main character's energy when touching him. The ruins contain scattered pieces of treasure that give points, and helpful items like the blue vials that recover some of the lost health energy, a map that shows the whole outline of the maze and extra bullets for the gun.
