Galapagos Galapagos is a world of evil self-replicating robots. They have just created helpless Mendel, an insect-like little robot that will be the prototype of an army that will aid the Galapagos race to destroy all worlds in the universe. The player must help Mendel escape the industrial labyrinth where it was placed before it is too late...

The game is really a series of dangerous environments that Mendel must go through in order to escape. What makes the game different is that Mendel has a bit of a mind of its own; in principle, its Artificial Intelligence can learn from deaths and not repeat mistakes, or become more neurotic after successive failures. The player instead controls the somewhat surreal environments Mendel is in, rather than Mendel itself, usually by clicking on switches that move platforms, disable force fields, activate jump pads, etc. [source:mobygames]
