Those who never had a chance to play to The Goonies will have an opportunity to test a free, new and enhanced one. The Goonies might ring bells if you're old enough, as it is based on a successful movie of the same name. The original game featured not-so usual gameplay for this time (1986): cooperation between the two player characters is absolutely needed to be able to finish a level.

The game is composed of single screens where the characters have to solve puzzles to proceed. As this is at heart an action game it also features its share of platforming. An example how the two kids need to help each other in the first level: to get Mamma Fratelli to run outside one of the kids has to throw money from an elevated window. While she is away the other kid can turn off the fire and escape.

This remake is a tribute to the first release of the game and features enhanced technical aspects (graphics, music and SFX) and additional levels. The cooperative multiplayer option is still there, but the game can also be played alone by switching from one character to another as needed. [source:mobygames]
