Humphrey Humphrey is a remake of the 1988 game Humphrey by Made in Spain, originally for Amstrad CPC, MSX and ZX Spectrum.

An authentic conversion of the original game with improved graphics, the game is set in the year 2454 and players control the alien celebrity Humphrey who goes nearly mad because of his fans and decides to retreat in a new mansion. However, the rooms of the house are not finished yet, they are painted in the wrong colours and the house has already been invaded by his fans.

Shown from a top-down view, players need to move over a board divided in different titles. Wherever Humphrey passes, the tiles are repainted. Meanwhile, he has to avoids the fans. He can move around them or jump over them to hang in the air for a while. While doing that, he needs to watch out for flies that hover in the air and have a deadly sting.

There are obstacles on the board and they are often disconnected, having Humphrey jump over areas with nothing but endless space below. Other hazards include electrified titles that can be temporarily switched off, bombs tiles that destroy the surrounding area, stop tiles that shortly paralyse the fans, "No Pisar" tiles that cannot be touched, mobile platforms and a glass and a bottle to beat up fans. There are also extra lives, cash tiles for more points, first aid kits and transporter tiles.

Humphrey has a small amount of lives and when dying the level is restarted, but the tiles that have been painted are kept. There are two difficulty modes and optional parallax scrolling. Next to the platforms here it is also available for FreeBSD, GP2X and PSP (modded). The source code is offered as well. [source:mobygames]
