The player controls the growth rate of a jolly round sumo wrestler floating around a zero-gravity ring by directing the mouse over the wrestler. But nothing is this easy: other, competing wrestlers are also present in the ring, all bouncing around uncontrollably, movements dictated according to the physics of ancient ball-and-paddle games. Upon colliding with rival wrestlers, depending on the flavour of the opponent (including ninja, statue, demonic and poison imp sumo wrestlers) both parties generally diminish in size, among other effects. Players must thus grow their sumo continually, as wrestlers shrinking below a certain size turn into the same type of wrestler as their opponent. Here's the big twist: players must stop growing their wrestler when bouncing into contact with another wrestler, which immediately turns the player's wrestler into the same kind as their opponent. Gameplay is entirely a matter of this starting and stopping; levels are won when all offensive opponents have been neutralized and turned into small hungry sumo wrestlers. [source:mobygames]
