King's Bounty: Armored Princess King's Bounty: Armored Princess is the sequel to King's Bounty: The Legend. It takes place years after the events of the first game and the player takes control of Princess Amelie, who was just a child in the first game. Once again Endoria is threatened by Baal and his hordes of demons and Amelie has to travel through a portal to the mysterious world of Teana and search for her mentor, the noble knight Bill Gilbert. In Teana, Amelie is greeted by King Frederick and given the Stone of Courage, which awakens strength in her. King Frederick believes Amelie is part of a strange prophecy, and encourages her to search after the other eight Stones of the Gods.

The game uses the same engine and plays mostly the same as King's Bounty: The Legend. Amelie explores the world in real time and will come across different enemy troops that she can fight as well as friendly NPCs who she can talk with. By talking with the different characters of the land, Amelie will be offered quests which can be taken on in return for gold and experience. The battles are turn-based. Amelie doesn't fight herself but has a troop of up to five squadrons which can be ordered around on a hex-based battlefield. The combat is round based and for each round, the troop has a number of action points which can be spent on movement or actions.

New in King's Bounty: Armored Princess is the pet dragon, which replaces the Chest of Rage from the original. The pet dragon is a gift from King Frederick which Amelie receives early in the game. It's possible to choose from seven different dragons, where each one differs in which bonuses and skills they give the hero. The pet dragon earns experience in battle and as he levels up he gets to master more abilities and skills. In battle it can be called upon once per round to perform an action which requires rage. After this it needs to rest for a while before it can be summoned again.

Other new features include a new race, the Lizardmen, with ten new creatures, new skills and abilities, medals which give bonuses for achievements, new spells as well as a new type of magic which can be used on the adventure map. The player can also ride a magical Pegasus which allows Amelie to fly over the world. [source:mobygames]
