Midnight Bowling Gameloft's urban Midnight series enters the world of bowling. This game is almost identical to Midnight Bowling 3D, except that the players are not shown as 3D animations, along with the lack of different camera angles and a replay function. You step into the fancy nightlife where tournaments are played for cash. You do not only earn money by winning games, but also for every throw. Next to regular spares and strikes, you are also awarded for turkeys and difficult splits. Opponents make bets prior to the game, or challenge you to throw a strike during a frame.

After each won game, you enter a skill contest to aim the ball between poles. To keep moving on, you have to earn new balls by taking part in challenges where you need to perform specific throws or get a number of strikes and spares in a row. The regular rules for bowling are followed. Before each throw, you choose a ball based on the weight, you select a position, determine the power by timely pressing a key when the cursor hovers over the power bar, and finally decide on the direction of the ball. During the throw some additional effect can be added.

Next to the singleplayer section, up to four players can take turns in battle matches. The game's theme music is an electronic rendition of Beyoncé's Naughty Girl. [source:mobygames]
