Mysterious Journey II: Chameleon Sen awakes from a deep sleep aboard a strange space vessel. He has no recollection of the past -- who he is, where he is or why he is here. Exploring his surroundings, he learns about Sarpedon, an ancient colony on the isolated planet around which his abandoned craft is orbiting. In a recording left 200 years before, he learns that he caused the planet's desolation and is being punished for his crimes. But, he has no memory of what happened. Before his spaceship falls out of orbit, he must get out and descend to the surface ...

In this original story by famed Australian science fiction author, Terry Dowling, you play Sen in first-person perspective. Explore the beautiful Sarpedon, the one valley which escaped destruction during a terrible global war. Change Sen's appearance to infiltrate the camps of feuding tribes using the advanced "Chameleon" technology. Help Sen unravel the mysteries that involve an intriguing, revengeful plot, an alien invasion, and a mistaken identity.

This game has a similar mouse-driven, point-and-click interface to the first game, Schizm, including how the inventory is managed and how you interact with characters and objects - but the story is completely different. The environment is 3D and "real time" incorporating Touchdown's Jupiter engine (the same engine used in the game No One Lives Forever 2). Features include an original soundtrack, a multitude of ambient sound effects, and video cut scenes in third person perspective. [source:mobygames]
