Mystery Cookbook is a standard hidden object game with a Ratatouille inspired plot.

The objective is to search a screen for objects from a list at the left of the screen. Sometimes the list is replaced by the objects' silhouette. There is a time limit, and wrong clicks deduct 20 seconds as a penalty.

Hints are presented as a platter of cheese that shows the position of one object when clicked. Extra pieces are scattered in the scenery, and can be collected and stored in the plate for later use.

Some mini-games appear from time to time. One is a tile puzzle, where the pieces must be rotated to reassemble a picture. Other splits the scene in two similar halves, and the player has to click on the differences. Another has a number of instances of one object that must be found. [source:mobygames]
