Ninja Warrior Ninja Warrior is a basic side scrolling jump and shoot game, similar in concept to Moon Patrol. The difference, of course, being that you are a Ninja, and you are crushing rocks, spearing fireballs, deflecting arrows, etc. The game runs it's title and option selection screens in a semi-graphics mode, so you can't see the whole screen on a Coco 3, but the main gameplay is in a "normal" mode which runs fine on all Coco's.

The game's levels are based on your belt color (like real martial arts have), and as you progress, you go up through the belt ranks (white, yellow, 2nd level yellow, etc.). Each level also introduces a new "opponent" to worry about, and combinations of "opponents" that you have encountered in the earlier levels. Some examples from the early levels are: White Belt - Rocks, and occasional holes in the ground; Yellow - adds stationary fireballs on the ground; 2nd level Yellow belt - adds fireballs being flung at you from off screen, and many more as you progress up into the black belt ranks.

While the graphics are decidedly lo-resolution (128x96x4, to help the game fit into 16K RAM), the game play is actually a lot of fun, especially when you reach higher levels for the first time and you have no idea what new surprise you will encounter next. [source:mobygames]
