Pirates: Battle for the Caribbean is an action game in which the player has to defend his island fortress from waves of enemy ships. Using the mouse the player fires at the incoming enemy ships. Destroying ships earns money which can be used to buy upgrades for the fortress. Upgrades range from faster or more accurate cannons to mine fields or a white shark to patrol the waters. With each wave the enemies become more powerful.

There are two campaigns and a survival mode. In the latter the player starts with a huge amount of booty to upgrade his fortress with and has to survive as long as possible. [source:mobygames]
