This is a fantasy MMORPG set in a medieval world where three races co-exist: the Gaia (humans close to nature), the Deva (who represent Light), and the Asura (who represent the Darkness). A Gaian called the Witch tried to impose her will over the world but was defeated by all three races and was thought killed but now there are rumors of her return. There are various region versions and PvE servers (including one PvP) for the following areas: Korea, South East Asia, Japan, US (global), France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Turkey, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Russia, and Arabic. Major updates to the game are released periodically and are known as Epics.

There is a major island plus a Trainee's island. You battle monsters (mobs) and bosses or other players anywhere (including dungeons with more difficult opponents) except in towns (where NPCs offer services such as Weapon Trader, Armour Trader, Teleporter, Lak Trader, Adventure Guide, Job Supporter and Merchant) or the teleporter outside of Laksy. A new character starts as a basic class with limited skills but each race can become one of three classes: warrior, magician or summoner (whose abilities center around pets). Through defeating mobs you gain experience and job points which level up your character' skills and job levels. There's three class categories: starting class, first job class and second job class. You can form or join a guild or join a Dungeon party group of up to 8 players to fight together.

By defeating monsters you can also collect a magical energy called Lak by wearing an appropriate necklace. Lak can be traded for rupees, the in-game currency, or three types of chips: Force Chips, Soul Chips and Luna Chips which increase damage in battle. Equipment can be leveled up by paying a Blacksmith, using enchantment cubes or "socketing" Soul Stones. There are 6 tiers of pets that also adventure alongside your character and help you in battle as long as you have a pet card to tame it. [source:mobygames]
