Red Baron In this side-scrolling 2D fighting brawler, players control Red Baron, an armoured knight that was originally designed for the RPG Deim Requiem. During a Middle Aged Times performance, the Red Baron accidentally eats some pizza with unusual ingredients and this completely distorts his vision. The audience suddenly appears as monsters to him and he does not recognize his colleagues any more.

The game offers different levels with distinct backdrops, featuring waves of enemies and a boss at the end of each stage. Red Baron can attack, defend with his shield and switch weapons. Regular attacks can be linked into powerful combos. During long chains, sparks appear near enemies and then the next hits also provide coins. These can be exchanged at the local weapons dealer to expand the Baron's arsenal, but when defeated they are also used to restart the level or the boss fight.

Regular weapons include a sword, an axe, a scythe and claws. Additional weapons that need to be bought are a lightsaber, a cat, a swordfish, leek and one more weapon. When the shield is used too often, it can eventually break. Landing hits builds up a combo meter that, when maxed out, allows for special attacks. Scattered around in the levels are bombs, drumsticks and turkey (restores health) and other objects.

After finishing the story mode players can unlock two more: Capture and Survival. Most enemies in the game were created by participants in an "Animation Idol" contest held by Mindchamber, where some prizes could be won. [source:mobygames]
