Rurouni Kenshin: Enjō! Kyoto Rinne Rurouni Kenshin: Enj?! Kyoto Rinne is the third game to deal with the adventures of Kenshin Himura, the famous fictional red-haired samurai. This one focuses on the Shishio saga, or the transition from the Bakumatsu period to the Meiji era (28-62 episodes in the anime), and is what could be called a fighting arcade game inside a world of adventure (with the usual dialogues, visiting different places, etc), but adding more emphasis in the fighting aspect.

There are 4 game modes, of which you will only see one in the beginning: the History mode. There you can play with either Kenshin, Sanosuke Sagara or Hajime Saito, and there's also a secret character you can unlock when you finish it at least once. Players can upgrade their character abilities and speed from fight to fight, introducing a small RPG component. The character development and storyline is different according to the character you have chosen.

The gameplay consists of typical brawling against multiple enemies at once, shown from a third-person perspective. Next to regular attacks and combos, there are also special ones introduced through a short cut-scene. [source:mobygames]
