Sagaland is the official PC translation of the eponymous board game. It has three important parts: the town, the forest and the castle. The town is the starting point for all players and a path (with junctions) leads through the forest and to the castle. On the castle there is a pile of cards; each card represents a fable. On the path some fields are occupied by trees which have corresponding symbols at the bottom.

The topmost card gets revealed and the players need to search for the corresponding tree. When a player hits a tree field with the exact dice result he - and only he - gets to see the bottom of it. If its the right one he gets the card and the next one is revealed. The game is over when a player gets three cards. Every dice throw is performed with two dice and if both show the same number the player may mix the cards or directly go to a tree or the castle. When a player hits a field with another player's token directly the opponent has to go back to the town.

The game offers the usual improvements over the board version: enhanced graphics, multiplayer modes and AI opponents. [source:mobygames]
