The 2003 edition of the board game translation offers games with different settings: six board sizes, different board themes, the number of games, a timer for the overall game or a clock for each player, lose a turn when entering an invalid word, hints, ...

There is a built-in vocabulary that checks the entries, but you can also disable it to increase the difficulty. You can then choose to challenge the validity of words of other players, with a penalty attached. There are four difficulty settings for the AI level. The game can be played with the classic 2D top-down view, or the 3D one with the ability to zoom and shift around the board. The tiles are shown at the bottom of the screen. While playing, you can use hints or look up words in the included dictionary.

Next to regular games, you can play variations such as the championship mode, duplicate scrabble, conundrum, anagram, making the point and word challenge. Multiplayer games are available for up to 4 players simultaneously on LAN or internet (through ubi.com). [source:mobygames]
