Game Classification

Seas of Cheese was developed for the 2008 Toronto Game Jam where it won third place. It is a short side-scrolling game where the player controls Ratskallion armed with a fish. He needs to defeat the evil pirates that have stolen his cheddar. The playing field is rather small and Ratskallion only use a single button for a regular attack. The end of the first and only level features larger enemies that need to be stunned with a regular attack and then taken out with a special one.

The game can be controlled through the keyboard but it was specifically designed to be played with the Rock Band drum controller. Players use the yellow and blue drum pads to move, the green pad to attack and the pedal to jump. To finish off a large pirate, the green and red pads need to be hits at the same time (shown on the screen). The game keep tracks of the amount of defeated pirates and regardless of the controller there are no sound-matching elements. [source:mobygames]
