Svetlograd Evil imps are invading the cities of Svetlograd. As a counter-measure, a crossbow is deployed to protect the gates, using the imps themselves as ammunition.

Svetlograd is a marble popper game, where the player controls a stationary crossbow loaded with monsters. Lines of the multicolored creatures move twisting around the screen, and the objective is to aim and shoot with the 360º turning weapon, trying to make matches of three or more of the same color to eliminate the imps. If the rows reach the city, the game is over.

Besides the moving demons, the scenery has destructible obstacles with rewards hidden inside like jewels, coins and collectible mathryoshka dolls. New levels are unlocked after gathering one hundred dolls. Jewels add to the score, and coins are used at the shop, to upgrade the cities' defense and the power-ups.

Power-ups appear randomly on the lines, indicated by an icon over one of the imps. They can be collected with matches. Some are used automatically, like the one that moves the line backwards, or other that freezes the movement for a few seconds. Others have to be shot from the crossbow, like the fireball that burns everything in its path, the lightning bolt that destroys all in a straight line, the ricochet that breaks in multiple shots bouncing around the screen and the color bomb that explodes every monster of its hue.
