This is Infinity This is Infinity is an abstract exploration/puzzle game, created in 36 hours for the Ludum Dare 16 competition.

The player starts by standing on a flat field, viewing the scene from the first person perspective. In traditional FPS fashion, the mouse changes viewing orientation and the WASD keys are used for movement. The world is decidedly abstract, flashing through a seemingly random palette of colors. Visual distortions abound, created every time anything moves. There are long trails, after images, bursts of color and motion blur.

In this initial location, the player can interact with various objects. The letter 'M' is prevalent. In fact, many 'M's crawl their way across the landscape. If the player makes contact with them, they fly up into the multi-colored sky like flustered pigeons. The word 'CAT' is also sitting, in blocky 3D characters, and can be 'kicked' around.

More interestingly, there are several geometric shapes (a ball, a cone...) nearby. If the player makes contact with one of these, the music changes and the player is transported to a new 'level'. Each level holds a different challenge, but the goal and means of achieving it are for the player to discover. In fact, before the player can begin to figure out the solution, he or she will have a hard time even comprehending what they see on the screen; in these puzzle levels, visual distortions are even more pronounced so making sense of the surroundings is a serious challenge in itself.

The author states that the game is fully solvable, though one level is 'extremely hard'. [source:mobygames]
