Twisty Tracks The people of the undermountain kingdom of the island of D'roso are living blissful, while mining magical jewels. But at one day, a mighty storm swept over the kingdom and all the jewels are gone with the wind. So you start a quest, to bring all the jewels back to the kingdom.

The island of D'roso is filled with railroad track pieces, which you control. You can rotate any of the track pieces so that it forms long tracks. That is basically all you have to do, as your steam powered train moves automatically. So, you have to make sure that the train stays on the track and don't crash at a dead end.

In a level, your objective is to collect all those missing jewels. Just move your train over it, it will collect it automatically and create a goods waggon for it. So, basically, the more jewels you collect, the longer will be the train (but the longer the train, the better you score). To score those jewels, move the train in the next depot. There are also coins in the game, which you can use to buy a new train (new life).

You play on a screen, which does not scroll, so all you have is this predefined area. However, you can use bridges to enter other areas.

In a level, you need to collect a certain amount of points (can be seen at your gem meter). Once you reached the point amount, you proceed to the next level. Parallel with playing to fill the gems meter, you will also play to fill the new-gems-unlock-meter, to get new and more valued gems.

The game itself offers 3 difficulty settings (which influences the trains speed and how much points the gems are worth) and 2 different game modes: Realm Tour (playing in 15 levels in 5 different lands of D'roso) and Arcade (unlimited play). [source:mobygames]
