The Witcher: Crimson Trail Geralt the Witcher has just completed his training and is set out to make his way in the world. The game starts with Geralt investigating the presence of a werewolf that is terrorizing the local people. It's not long before he finds out about more insidious evil. Now Geralt sets out on a journey that will be his final test.

The Witcher: Crimson Trail is a mobile game based on the books by fantasy author Andrzej Sapkowski and the PC game The Witcher by CD Project Red. While the original PC game is an RPG, this mobile adaptation is instead a side-scrolling hack-and-slash game acting as a prequel. It involves fighting various monsters, platform jumping and some minor role playing elements. The player can do a simple one-strike attack or more advanced combo attack moves. Further into the game more combos are made available. It's possible to switch between two different swords, one made of silver and one of steel. Some enemies are more vulnerable to one than the other.

Magical signs are also available. There are four different ones, one that throws back the enemy, one that immobilizes it, one that launches fire, and one that makes the player invulnerable for a short time. After each level the player is able to upgrade one of these. The use of signs is limited by fatigue. The player will find different herbs throughout the levels. These can be used to create potions at the end of the level. Throughout the game the player will come across different NPCs and similarly to the PC game these encounters involve moral choices. For example early on the player gets to choose between healing a character, killing him or just leaving him be. [source:mobygames]
