Wordfeud is an unofficial Scrabble game for smartphones, similar to Words With Friends. The rules are identical with Scrabble: each player gets seven letter tiles on hand. The objective of the game is to form words combining letters on your hand, with letter tiles already on the board. There are four kinds of special areas on the board, which grants more points. These are double letter, triple letter, double word and triple letter. If a letter is placed on this area, the letter or word is gives 2x or 3x their normal value. If several words are formed with one move, in several directions, multiple words are scored. A turn is not valid if not all placed letters form words with adjutant tiles. Also the letters need to connect with existing letter tiles on the board.

Wordfeud can only be played on-line with two players, either a friend or a random opponent. Each player has up to 96 hours to make a move. Several European languages are supported, including two English dictionaries, and all Scandinavian languages. [source:mobygames]
