In Yakuza Revenge the boss of a local crime syndicate dies. To avoid an open war between the syndicates his goons want to clone him - but his DNA gets stolen... The player rotational takes control over four persons: a policeman, a journalist, a young yakuza and a rebel. The cutscenes are comic panels similar to Max Payne.
The game itself is a straight-forward third-person shooter. The player uses the established control scheme with mouse and keyboard while walking through linear levels and shooting everything in sight.
