screen568x568.jpg 'Mission Phosphorus is an educational and fun mobile app for dialysis patients seeking information on Chronic Renal Failure (CRF), and more specifically on their treatment and dietary management.

The challenge: to launch a phosphate binder to remove as much excess phosphorus icons before their absorption in the intestine. For a balanced diet, you must also assimilate proteins, lipids and sugars by grouping them into groups of at least three balls of the same color. After each session, a quiz to earn bonus points. The pace of the game quickens each time at a higher level.
The game includes 16 levels associated with different meals. These meals have increasing amounts of phosphorus.

A published evaluation of Phosphorus Mission showed dramatic increases in patient knowledge about CKD (Kato & Hill, 2015).
