Acid Rain puts the player in the role of a hiker hiking near a volcano coincidentally just as it explodes, causing acid rain to start falling in the surrounding area. It is now up to the player to locate the twenty survivors of the eruption by using binoculars and rescuing them whilst diving in and out of cover in order to avoid the acid rain as well as other hazards such as volcanic boulders and lava. The player will also encounter wild animals that will attempt to hinder progress, but can be warded off by using the characters flashlight. [source:mobygames]
