Adventure Inlay Adventure Inlay is a shape matching puzzle game with an African safari or savannah theme. While each of the modes varies in rules, each shares a common method of play: The player's goal is to remove or cover the triangular blocks (often forming a larger image of an animal) from play. The player does this by using an accumulating series of stones (blocks) in various shapes scrolling across the bottom of the screen (the player's "feed area") from right to left. When reaching the left side of the feed area, these pieces start to stack. The player must use (or discard) these pieces as soon as possible for if the stack reaches the right side of the screen, the player loses. Players can rotate the stones they pickup to better fit the blocks they're trying to fill. Occasionally two special power-ups appear: the wand which will magically create stones in the area it's used, and the pickaxe which will smash unwanted stones from the feed area or the play area. The player's score accumulates with stones successfully used and bonus points are awarded for selecting triangular blocks with a spinning star on them.

The game is divided into 4 modes with different rules:Traditional is the simplest mode and features most of the gameplay mentioned above. The discard box pauses to become available for a few seconds after each time it's used. A Feed button is available to add more stones into the feed are.Strategery mode makes the gameplay area scroll towards the left edge of the screen every time a stone is used. If any remaining triangular pieces reach this edge, the player loses. Using the discard box also causes the play area to scroll. The Pick power-up is unavailable and the player gets a scroll button to increase the speed of the play area's movement if desired.Revealer mode hides a picture underneath the triangular blocks. The player must use their stones to reveal the image. The discard box takes longer to recharge after use and the Pick power-up does not work on the play area. The feed button is available to add more stones to the feed area.Enigma mode gives the player a finite amount of stone pieces to use on the play area. There are no power-ups available however the hint button can be used to see where the game suggests using a stone. [source:mobygames]
