Amazing Finds Thaddeus McGriff is a collector that sends his nephew around the world to find 8 rare items to complete his collection.

Amazing Finds is a hidden object game with adventure elements. The objective, as usual, is to find all the objects from a list at the right side of the screen within a time limit, in locations filled with scattered and assorted paraphernalia. Some of the objects are stored in the inventory, to be used later on specific places.

The player travels to the locations by flipping pages of a journal. They show the hidden items as Polaroid photos, along with information about them. All locations have one "locked" object, that can only be opened by using one of the inventory items. Once unlocked they act as a bonus location, where all required objects have to be picked up before collecting the rare item.

Mini-games appear after finishing each location. They are variations of classic games like concentration, hangman and jigsaw puzzles, and implementations of casual games staples like Puzzle Loop and a spot-the-differences game between two similar images.

The hint system is a coin that sits under the inventory, making one of the objects shine when clicked. The coin can only be used again after 30 seconds, when it stops spinning. [source:mobygames]
