Big City Adventure: New York City Big City Adventure: New York City is the third entry in a series of hidden object games focusing on locations around a famous city. The player takes the role of one of the six members of a family taking a vacation trip through New York City. Each location is based on a famous landmark or street of the city, where the main objective is to find and click on all the items listed at the bottom of the screen, within a time limit. Some of the list entries display clues about an object instead of its name. Entries in blue can only be found inside a zoom window showing another angle of the scene.

The hint system uses several coins that can be found scattered on the scenery, and stored at the bottom-right corner to be spent later. There are three hint types: ? coins show the position of one object, ?? coins highlight several objects at once and time coins give a few more seconds to finish the scene. Score coins give bonus points, while skip coins are used to pass over the mini-games that appear between each location, all based on old concepts and classic games. There is a Pipe Dream implementation with scrambled road sections, a tile-matching game, a spatial cognition challenge where several objects have to be stored inside a taxi trunk, a mahjong variant, a game with tetrominoes pieces, a jigsaw puzzle and a concentration memory game.
