City of Heroes (Deluxe Edition) City of Heroes allows its players to become crime-fighting superheroes in the fictional city of Paragon. The game's design is mainly based on the style of golden and silver age superhero comics, featuring a colorful 3D world in a third person view.Although the game offers no more than five basic archetypes, player characters are highly customizable in appearance and skill development. Especially the included costume-designer for heroes is a powerful and popular tool.

As a Massive Multiplayer Online Game City of Heroes attaches great importance to teamwork, player versus player-combat was introduced with arenas spread throughout the city later (the first standalone expansion "City of Villains" also added whole PvP-zones and assaultable player-headquarters).
