Elemental Elemental is a color-matching game. The player clicks and drags the mouse cursor over a group of tiles to flip them and change their color. When three or more tiles have matching colors, they are removed from the game. Each stage has one of the classic elements (earth, wind, fire and water) as its theme.

In classic mode, the objective of each level is to remove enough tiles so the rest is under a glowing line. In challenge mode, the goal is to achieve a certain number of points to move to the next level.

Stone slabs appear randomly and can only be destroyed by taking out all the tiles underneath them. Also, when the player flips a single tile, the game drops a tile with a timer that can only be flipped and matched after a few seconds.

Between some levels there are elemental battles, where in a split-screen the player competes against the computer.

Power-ups drop from time to time. They include lightning bolts that eliminate columns and rows of tiles. A || symbol slows the game movement, and a ? stops the movement altogether. A bomb explodes surrounding tiles.

If the tiles reach the top of the screen, the game is over. [source:mobygames]
