Eye for Design Halle just graduated from the most prestigious interior decorator in Paris, top of her class, and now she must find her first job starting her own business.

In Eye for Design the player has to help Halle in decorating her clients houses trying to please their taste. The gameplay consists in clicking in an inventory of furniture (new, old and accessories) to select a piece of furniture and then clicking in the available spots in the room being decorated. Each room has required goals of objects which must be placed, optional goals (like placing three objects of the same color) and hidden goals (which can be discovered by reading each house's briefing carefully). After placing an object it can be painted in new colors. The colors available for each object are limited, so when there's a color goal to be reached, the choice of objects must take that in account. As the spots for each object are limited, the player has to find the perfect match to place everything needed. The less steps taken, the more money the player earns. Some clients want to keep some or all of their previous furniture in some rooms, and the player has to cope with that, having to leave that piece in the room but being able to move it around so it fits with the new furniture.

For each room a "reputation" bar must be filled. Filling it will grant money to the player, and when it is full a door for the next room or house will be opened, but leaving before the bar is fully filled may grant the player a silver or bronze trophy in that room. Earning at least a silver trophy in all rooms may unlock a bonus room for that house. In the bonus room, the player is free to place any object available at any spot desired without limitations. The objects can also be painted and rotated.

The game features a total of 52 houses and there is no time limit for decorating the rooms. In order to advance to other houses, the player must receive at least a silver trophy for each room decorated. [source:mobygames]
