The Famous 5: Five on a Secret Mission The Famous Five: Five on a Secret Mission is the fifth game in Ravensburger's Famous Five series after the books of Enid Blyton for ages 7 and up.

The famous five, Julian, Anne, Dick, George (Georgina) and Timmy the dog are again at Kirrin Cottage during the summer holidays when a plane crashes on nearby Kirren Island. When the five arrive at the island they discover a wounded pilot. The pilot, Sam Smith, appears to be a secret secret agent who was on a mission to deliver a secret valuable radio receiver. Soon they find out that his metal briefcase has been switched for another case that contains printing plates to print counterfeit money. It's up to the famous five to unravel the mystery and to recover the radio equipment.

The active characters are automatically either George or Dick. They execute the actions and carry a backpack that holds the inventory items. A hidden menu at the left bottom corner of the screen gives access to a travel map, a main menu and an options menu (in the English edition). The latter includes options to switch on or off hot spot names and dialogue text. Dialogues can be skipped using the Escape key. In the original German edition the player can switch between German and English. The game directory includes a hint file. [source:mobygames]
