Island: The Lost Medallion A young archaeologist called Pam returns from a trip to an excavation site with a strange medallion of Pre-Columbian origin, leaving it in the hands of her boyfriend James. Their house is invaded at night while they're asleep, and Pam is kidnapped while James is left gassed and unconscious. He wakes up with a headache, but still in possession of the mysterious artifact, and embarks on a quest to find his girlfriend and investigate the mysteries surrounding the object.

Island: The Lost Medallion is a hidden object game with adventure elements. Most of the time, the objective is to find and click on all the items listed at the bottom of the screen, on locations filled with assorted paraphernalia scattered throughout the scenery. In some scenes, the list shows the names of the objects, while in other instances it shows pieces of items that have to be assembled. After collecting or assembling all the items, they become available inside slots at the bottom, from where they can be dragged and dropped on logical places to perform an action or complete a task. The hint button is the medallion at the bottom-right corner, that highlights the position of one of the required items, or pieces, when activated, but takes some time to recharge after use. There are some mini-games that take place on a separate screen between locations, where a mechanism of some sort has to be manipulated directly to solve them. [source:mobygames]
