Game Classification

Lightfish is a fast-paced game where the user controls a small fish who unleashes a thread behind him, allowing to create basic shapes onto the scenario and lock those areas. The objective of each level is to lock a minimum percentage of the level, while avoiding the constant threat of different enemies, bouncing back and forth all along the space available.

The game features two game modes: A basic adventure mode with up to 45 levels divided in 5 chapters, and a time trial mode which is essentially the same levels with a time limitation. Although the basic mechanics are the same present on the classic Qix, the game adds additional features such as environmental hazards (lava, ice) and new enemy behaviors such as bombers, kamikazes or searching foes. It also has an original soundtrack, a scoring system and additional challenges based on getting the maximum stars in each level. [source:mobygames]
