The Muncher's Labyrinth King Tyrael has fallen ill and no medicine is able to cure him. The kingdom is in shambles and he has no heir. To make matters worse, his half-brother Snythe, the emperor of the west, gathers his troops to invade the weakened kingdom. Petissendial brings together all knights to devise a plan to push back Snythe and restore the glory. There is a legend of a historic treasure hidden inside a maze built under castle Tyrael. It contains one hundred fandangles, rumoured to have tremendous healing powers and extremely valuable, but it is protected by a monster knowns as Muncher, the eater of men.

Players take on the role of Muncher as knights try to collect all fandangles from the maze. Built with vector graphics, the maze has one hundred shinies that the knights will attempt to steal. They come through portals and try to collect as much as possible before returning. The Muncher needs to defend the treasure for five minutes and he has to keep as many fandangles as possible inside the maze. He is outnumbered all the time, but able to stomp, scaring the knights and closing portals from a large distance, or eat them, and he can also break through walls to make the maze easier to navigate. At the end of each game, the number of protected shinies, the eaten meat, the destroyed entrances and the remaining maze walls are shown. [source:mobygames]
