Oval Office is a cut-down version of Democracy 2, featuring (as one might expect), just the American political process.

A simulation of the presidency, Oval Office begins as you, the president, take office. Appoint your cabinet, set policy, and manage the country. Changing policy uses up political capital, which regenerates over time, depending on your current cabinet. All decisions will please some voters, while angering others. Each voter belongs to multiple categories, (eg, poor, and environmentalist, and smoker) and bases their vote on a combination of all categories. Each turn covers 3 months. At the appointed time, there will be another election. As this is an election, it would be in your best interests to have more than 50% of the voters pleased with you. [source:mobygames]
