Power Boat GT is an action oriented racing game with motorboats. The main motivation is simple: the player competes against AI athletes and receives price money if he wins. This money is reinvested in better and better boats and gear until all races are won. You can also buy houses in different locations to make your prestige higher. Your prestige helps you to obtain sponsorship - the better the sponsor is, the higher is the amount of money you get by winning. The races are set in three freely navigable locations: Russia, Greece and Caribbean. There the player can find races, sponsors, boat sellers and mini games (taxi driving, saving shipwrecked people or drop care packets with a plane).

The races itself are classical checkpoint races - of course with the typical limitation that boats have no brakes. During the race the players can pick up crates with random power ups, e.g. power boosts. weapons or a tool which cripples the controls of all boats. [source:mobygames]
