Terrace is a computer conversion of the same-named board game. The game field is divided into squares, similar to chess, but with a catch: because of stacked squares there are several plains.

The two players have a set of stones in different sizes. You can move your stones unlimited if you stay on the same plain, when you move to another plain you can move one square. You can take stones which are diagonally from your stone - if you are on a higher plain and it has the same or less size than your stone. One stone serves the same purpose than the king at chess: take him and you win the game.

After paying the registration fee you get access to an editor, three enemy AIs, background art, other starting positions and the option to use a modem for multiplayer games. [source:mobygames]
